Homecoming Anniversary
Chronological Age: 16 months
Adjusted Age: 1 year exactly
Today marks the anniversary of Truman's homecoming and his due date. It's an odd day emotionally, but feels far more celebratory than his birthday did.
I know many of you are looking for a final post today, but I'm a busy mama and plan to make the final post this weekend recapping Truman's journey and put a link to the new password-protected blog for friends and family.

Kara, I have followed Truman's wonderful miraculous journey since his birth and I will be so sorry not to hear updates on you all any more. I wish you all the best and will continue my prayers for you.
I know you dont know me, but I was with you on the Dec 06 board and I have bookmarked little Truman since you first posted it. I hate to not be able to see him grow anymore..if you are comfortable doing so, my email is tashanoe@gmail.com I would love to continue your journey with you.
Happy one year homecoming to the 3 of you.
Good luck on all your journey's and I wish Mom, Dad and Truman a long, happy and healthy life. His story has givin so much hope to so many people. I'm going to miss catching up on Trumans progress, but I know that his and your privacy is much more important. Happy Homecoming Anniversary!
I too have followed Truman's amazing progress since his birth. I will be so sad not to be able to hear how he is doing. I will keep Truman in my prayers. He has come so far! What a tough little guy.
Happy Due Date/Homecoming! What a joyous day!! Bennett's birthday is in January so his first year we postponed his party until his due date (May) and he was able to enjoy the cake much more. :)
I'm looking forward to reading your post as you reflect on Truman's last year - it's been a blessing for us to read along.
Another one here who has followed Truman's journey prayerfully since his birth. He truly is a miracle and I feel blessed to have share a little of his life with you. I'll miss the updates. I hope he continues to thrive and thrill you!
Thank you.
Kara, I have also followed updates on Truman since his birth, and will miss them. Today is a very special day enjoy it.

I know you don't know me like others have stated but I was pregnant and almost lost my pregnancy shortly before you gave birth to Truman. I was unstable for quite some time afterwards and you gave me hope. I was able to carry to term and have followed Truman's progress all along. I gave birth December 29th with difficulty but a mostly healthy boy. Reading what you have gone through has helped me remain strong. If you are allowing any that aren't super close into your private blog I would love to continue to follow you family's progress. lady_cleric@yahoo.com
Best of Luck and Happy Holidays to you all!
I am amazed that you have had the time to post at all. Again if you feel comfortable including a fellow Baby Center mommy in the know, my address is tiny2505@yahoo.com. If not, thanks for sharing what you have over this journey. I am glad you are leaving this blog up for others to read and to gather strength from
God Bless your family.
Hi I found your blog through another blog and Dr. Suterwala caught my attention ( I probably spelled it all wrong ) but we too go to TT's clinic...
Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us. May God continue to bless your family.
Kara,
Congrats on a year that has been so long and full of struggles and also wonderful surprises. I so enjoy reading about Truman as it helps me not feel so alone in our own micro-premie world with our boys.
Happy holidays,
Courtney
You don't know me, I'm in Scotland. I can't even remember how I first came across your blog, I think I just clicked "next blog" one day around the time he was born. I have a weekly check in with you guys to see how he's doing and have followed the highs and lows all the way.
Thank you so much for sharing it all and I'll be sad not to follow his progress into toddlerhood and beyond.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas!

You have given me and my husband hope. Our baby twins were born at 24 weeks. They survived and we have too because we have followed your journey. If you find that you can include me, our email is sh4430@aol.com
Thank you from a fellow micropreemie mommy....
Hi, I'm another member of the dec 06 board. I just wanted to thank you for letting us all be part of truman's journey. My daughter and I share today as our birthday, so I have felt connected to you all in this way. Happy homecoming anniversary and may God be with you all on the journey to come.
Dear Kara, Ben and not-so-teeny-tiny Truman:
Thank you for letting us be a vicarious part of your son's first year. While we will miss hearing all about his achievements and milestones reached, we are so grateful for all of the things you have shared with us. I'm sure other parents of micro-preemies have been so reassured to see how Truman has thrived.
Best wishes and please get in touch if you ever come to Edmonton, AB, Canada.

Little Truman will never know how many people loved and prayed for him this past year. I am from the '06 board and have enjoyed following his accomplishments and worried about his setbacks. May your sweet baby continue to thrive and best wishes to you always!
(It's been like reading a novel that was so good, I don't want it to end!) Thank you for sharing, Chris Porter, bingtrendy@yahoo.com
Happy Homecoming Anniversary! I have been reading about Truman since he was born, I was part of the Jan 07 Playgroup and saw the post that he was born. I have been praying for him since!Truman is such a miracle! The due date anniversary will always come with bittersweet memories. I have a surviving twin who was born at 25weeks. SO I know alot of the emotions you are going through. I would love to continue to read about Trumans accomplishments if I can, if not I understand the want for privacy. Thanks!
