Play weekend
CHRONOLOGICAL AGE: 12.75 MONTHS
ADJUSTED AGE: 8.75 MONTHS
We think it is finally safe to declare that Truman is a crawler. He's not very fast yet, and he still often straightens out his legs, but he gets better at it every day.
Truman had a weekend visit from his friend, Ethan, from Lubbock. They enjoyed playing together. Above, they are sharing a tupperware lid, and below, they are taking a break from checking out each other's pajamas.
Although Ethan is only 7.5 months, he weighs twice as much as Truman and is a few inches longer as well. More than the size, though, is the difference in how they look. Without the typical baby fat, Truman looks a lot older than Ethan, even though Ethan is less than a month younger than Truman's adjusted age.
Above, Truman catches a ride on Ethan as Ethan commando crawls around the living room. Below, Truman shows how has learned to self feed Gerber puffs. And yes, that is a Darth Vader plate and a placemat.
Truman really has taken an interest in Flora. Flora is a very sweet kitty and is very patient with him. We couldn't ask for a better cat for a baby.

Love the photos-he's a beauty!
I can not believe how big truman is!! He is so perfect in everyway and is getting so big.
I have been following your family story since day 1. My son is 8 months 2 weeks old and I love reading about the milestones Truman is making and it seems as your little man is doing new things so i my little one.
It is always so wonderful to hear good things about Truman! He looks wonderful and is doing such "normal" things. It is a true testament to the love and nurture he receives from his loving parents. Congratulations!
As always, thank you for allowing us to see him grow and thrive.

My goodness he's quite a ham!
And to think...we were wondering what Ben was going to do with all that Star Wars Memorabilia!
I think Truman taught Ethan to crawl while he was there. What a Pair!
Love and Prayers,

He looks so beautiful!
Thank you for sharing the photos. He is growing up so fast! Looks like your cat is a trooper. Mine is too, I'm lucky.
I've followed your blog ever since you went into labor and ivillage had a posting on it. Our sons had the same due date (well, mine was Nov 17).
Anyway, I check in from time to time and am glad to see you are doing well and that Truman is growing in an adorable little man.

I just want you to know that you are an amazing family! I have followed your story from when you had Truman on I Village. I prayed for him every day. I couldn't get over how such a small baby could survive. The pictures...oh, the pictures...I was totally taken by them.
I never thought that looking at those pictures, that I would be having my own 23 week-er. On May 2nd, I gave birth to my 6th & 7th kids. Twins. Born @ 23 weeks weighing 1 lb, 7 oz each. 2 days later, we lost our little Nick. Kenny is our miracle baby. He finally came home after 4 months and 5 days in the NICU. He is on oxygen & an apnea monitor. I just want to say that your story is an inspiration to me and my family. Truman is such a blessed little guy!
