Update: Midday Wednesday, August 30
I just spoke with Truman's nurse. He's having a very stable morning. He's off of the blood pressure medication and the ventilator settings have been weaned some. He also is back to being very fiesty, which means that he's feeling a lot better today. A different type of xray indicates that he does NOT have a bowel perforation.
Because he's stable, we anticipate surgery could be soon before he destabilizes again. I will keep you posted to the extent I have time today. (I'm in the middle of a big client meeting today).

Kara - thanks for updating us this afternoon. I'm praying so hard for Truman, you and Ben!!!
That is great news! He is definitely a fighter! I am keeping Truman in my prayers.
Kara and Ben,
Truman is a fighter. God continues to oversee everything in his life. I know that once again he will overcome this and all other obstacles regardless of the circumstances. We are praying for all of you and look forward to his progress report this evening. Remain faithful!!!!!!We love you.

Thank you, Lord. Keep on fighting, little Truman!
I found your site from the Ivillage October Due Date Pregnancy board...you are in my thoughts and prayers during this tough time. I visit your site every day to see how your little one is doing.

Re-allerted all of my prayer warrior friends up here to keep all of you on the top of the list during this set back. So good to hear that he is doing better this morning. Truman is even on the radio, I put him on the prayer list on a christian station up here. (KNNK) Kara & Ben, take time to love on each other during this time, I know how tired and stressed that you must be, but Truman needs you both at your best. We love you and pray for you often during each day.
Good news! You guys and Truman are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. Thanks for keeping us posted with everything going on. We are pulling for you guys!
Love, Kerri and Jason
I have been silently following your story through the Ivillage Preemie Board. My son developed NEC at 10 days old that needed surgery, removal of a large portion of his intestine and a jeujonostomy. A very long NICU story made short, he came home on his due date and is currently snoozing in his crib. I will keep Truman and your family in my prayers. I pray that Truman remains strong and surgery can sucessfully repair his bowel. Many (((hugs))) to you and prayers for Truman.
